Sample preparation	To 0.3 g of pulverized Loquat Leaf add 10 mL of methanol, warm on a water bath for 5 minutes with occasional shaking, cool, filter, and use the filtrate as the sample solution
Mobile phase	Water, acetonitrile 3:2 (v/v)
Derivatization	Spray dilute sulfuric acid (add 5.7 mL of sulfuric acid to 10 mL of water, cool, and dilute with water to make 100 mL (10%)) on the plate, and heat at 105°C for 10 minutes

Sample preparation	Weigh 0.3 g of pulverized Eriobotrya Leaf, add 10 mL of methanol, heat for 5 minutes in a water-bath, cool, filter and use the filtrate as the test solution
Mobile phase	Hexane, ethyl acetate 1:1 (v/v)
Derivatization	Spray with sulfuric acid (1 volume of sulfuric acid to 2 volumes of water, and while warming on a water-bath add drop wise potassium permanganate, until a pale red color of the solution remains) and heat at 105°C for 10 min

Sample preparation	To 1 g of the powder add 20 mL of ethanol, ultrasonicate for 20 min, filter. Evaporate the filtrate to dryness, dissolve the residue in 5mL of methanol as the test solution
Mobile phase	Toluene, acetone 5:1 (v/v)
Derivatization	Spray with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol and heat at 105°C until the spots appear
HPTLC Chromatograms (evaluated method)

Sample preparation	Add 1.0 g of powdered sample to 10 mL of methanol, ultrasonicate for 30 min, filter and use the filtrate
Mobile phase	Toluene, ethyl acetate 1:1 (v/v)
Derivatization	Spray with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol, heat at 105°C until the spots appear
