On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees it is our great pleasure to invite researchers and practitioners of high-performance thin-layer chromatography to participate in the 25th International Symposium for High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC 2022) - the worldwide symposium for HPTLC, which will be held on June 28 - July 1 2022 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The program will include invited lectures, oral and poster presentations, workshops and a panel discussion with manufacturers. The Exhibition will form an integral part of the Symposium and will be located in the venue halls.
Special scientific sections of the Symposium will be dedicated to prof. dr. Rudolf E. Kaiser and prof. dr. Joseph Sherma to memorialise their contributions to the field of HPTLC. Professor Kaiser started the series of International Symposium on Planar Chromatography in 1980 in Bad Dürkheim and played a key role in the founding of the Journal of Planar Chromatography in 1988.
The symposium will cover new advances and challenges in the field of high-performance thin-layer chromatography. Contributions are invited from all areas of high-performance thin-layer chromatography such as theory, method development, validation, instrumental methods, hyphenated techniques, and applications in different fields.
HPTLC 2022 will provide an excellent opportunity for young scientists as well as renowned researchers and industrial partners to exchange opinions, introduce ground-breaking ideas, and acquire new practical knowledge.
For the first time all participants will have the opportunity to take part in a special creative competition called CHROM-ART. Interesting HPTLC plate images, chromatograms of unusual shapes and other images created during chemical analysis will be presented in a CHROM-ART gallery from an artistic point of view.
Attractive and rich social programmes will create a perfect atmosphere to connect with old acquaintances and build long-lasting friendships that may blossom into fruitful joint adventures as well as offer a taste of Slovenia’s natural beauty, intriguing history, culture and cuisine.

We look forward to welcoming you in Ljubljana.
