| Sample preparation | Weigh about 5 g of Z. zerumbet dried rhizome powder in a 50 mL screw cap conical flask and add 25 mL of ethanol (99.4%). Sonicate the mixture for 15 min at room temperature. Filter and collect the mixture in round bottom flask. Evaporate the filtrate using rotary evaporator at 60oC. Reconstitute the residue with 20 mL of methanol. Filter the solution and use the filtrate as test solution |
