A Thrilling Start: 1st Webinar Recap (October 16, 2025)

The Francophone Chapter kicked off its very first webinar with great success — over 50 connections and more than 70 participants joined in from across the Francophone world!
The event featured three captivating talks showcasing the versatility and creativity of HPTLC:
• Dr Aurélie Urbain (Faculty of Pharmacy, Strasbourg)
“Fast and Curious: HPTLC as a tool for accelerating the discovery of new active molecules.”
• Dr Alice Brissoit (University of Rennes)
“Application of HPTLC to the study of metabolites from lichens.”
• Dr Maël Gainche (Clermont Auvergne University)
“Bioguided fractionation using HPTLC bioassays for discovering new cholinesterase inhibitors in plant extracts.”

The presentations sparked lively discussions and a wave of enthusiasm among participants!

During the meeting, members also elected Dr Rym Attia as the new Assistant Secretary.
Dr Attia, Associate Professor in Pharmacognosy at Paris-Cité University, was warmly congratulated by all members, as well as by the Chapter’s President and Secretary.
